Web Application Penetration Testing
Find and fix critical web vulnerabilities before attackers do. Budget Security delivers manual web application pentests with clear evidence, prioritized remediation guidance, and reports designed for security and compliance stakeholders.
Modern web apps combine complex authentication, APIs, business logic, and third party integrations. Automated scanners can miss authorization flaws, workflow abuse, and subtle injection chains. Our testers focus on realistic exploitation paths, from authentication and session handling to input validation, access control, and data exposure.
Whether you ship a customer portal, SaaS product, or internal admin console, you get a structured assessment aligned with industry expectations for web security testing, including coverage aligned with OWASP style risks, without the overhead of traditional consulting sales cycles. For multi-tenant SaaS products we pay special attention to tenant isolation and authorization boundaries, testing whether one customer can reach another customer's data across roles, plans, and tenants.
How we test web applications
We combine structured manual testing with supporting automation to maximize coverage in the time you book. Testing adapts to your scope: black box, grey box, or white box. You scope assets in the platform, see pricing upfront, and track progress as findings are validated.
Reconnaissance & mapping
Full crawl, JS bundle analysis, hidden route discovery, tech fingerprinting.
Authentication & session
Credential handling, MFA bypass, session fixation, token lifetime and revocation.
Authorization
Horizontal and vertical privilege escalation across every role pair, IDOR sweeps on all object IDs.
Injection & input handling
SQL, NoSQL, template, command and SSRF vectors, validated by exploitation not signature.
Business logic
Race conditions, price and quantity tampering, workflow skipping, negative-value abuse.
Client-side
Stored and DOM XSS, CSP review, postMessage handling, dependency exposure.
Example finding
This is the format a finding arrives in.
An example of the format. Every finding carries a rating, reproduction steps and remediation guidance.
IDOR on /v3/invoices/{id}
Any authenticated tenant can read another tenant’s invoice by incrementing the numeric id. No ownership check is performed server-side; the UI simply hides the link.
Remediation
Enforce tenant ownership at the data-access layer and replace sequential ids with unguessable identifiers.
What is included
No upgrade tiers. The auditor-ready package is the standard package.
